Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification
Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction, a specialist in utility infrastructure development and accompanying underground works, achieved the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification, becoming the first infrastructure construction company certified by British Standards Institution (BSI) in the region against the 2015 edition of the quality management standard.
To mark this milestone, a special ceremony was held at Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction offices in Dubai Silicon Oasis in the presence of Ahmad Al Khatib, General Manager, Assurance – BSI Middle East & Africa, Mathew John, Business Development Manager – BSI Middle East & Africa, Navin Valrani, CEO, and Walid Aaraj, General Manager.
The event was also attended by other eminent members of the Al Shirawi fraternity, including Krishna Kumar, General Manager, Quality & Business Excellence, who led the charge for the certification.

Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction’s ISO certification was completed over a period of five months and involved over 24 sessions to define critical processes, four days of internal audit and four sessions of Management Review Meeting. In addition, checks were conducted by three internal auditors and BSI performed a two-stage stage audit to ensure compliance.
In a relatively short period of time, Al Shirawi Infrastructure has executed a number of projects for the UAE’s telecom sector and water sector, including those for DEWA, Dubai Municipality and Du to name a few.
